The City of Keene, New Hampshire is accepting applications for an Accounting and Fund Manager!  Keene is known for its sustainable and environmental health and active lifestyles.  Keene prides itself on providing access to a variety of mountain bike trails, parks, and a beautiful and walkable Downtown.  This position is vital to Keene continuing to provide these amenities to their residents and visitors.

Position Summary
The Accounting and Fund Manager’s primary focus is grants management across all departments within the organization.  The position will provide leadership and guidance to departments as it relates to the financial administration of grants in conformance with grantor guidelines and City policies and procedure, including reporting to grantor, preparation, submittal and/or monitoring and follow up as needed of grant reimbursement requests.

They will also work with City departments to develop enterprise, special revenue, internal service, and general fund operating and capital budgets. 

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting the City financial software systems (Tyler Technologies) and related technologies, preparing financial and single audits of the grant funds and all reports required for reporting to state, federal and other grantor agencies, and provides oversight for payroll operations by reviewing reconciliations and designated fund activities related to payroll transactions.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field with knowledge of governmental accounting practices, their financial operations and grants including universal grant guidelines (UGG) plus five to seven years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  (Required certifications and knowledge, skills, abilities are fully outlined in the job description.)

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is $74,262- $92,544.  The Accounting and Fund Manager will also receive an attractive benefits package which includes low deductible/low-cost health insurance, low-cost dental insurance, State of NH Group I retirement, and other benefits such as life, disability, and paid time off!
