Workforce Development and Educational Attainment are two of the most complex and challenging issues facing us in the Monadnock Region, throughout the state, and around the country, with many other issues (Housing, Broadband, etc.) related to it in some way. Thousands of regions and organizations are working on it, and gathering considerable resources to do so. It's sometimes referred to as "the war for talent."It's a huge subject, and a single forum won't solve it. In fact, as the Chamber works to develop a comprehensive framework for approaching Workforce and Education issues, we anticipate many additional meetings over at least several months.
We hope this forum will set the stage, and help to get people up to speed on: (a) the nature and scope of the challenge; (b) what is already happening; and (c) what needs to happen in the next year, three years, five years, etc. We invite you to be part of this ongoing conversation!
