The Town of Swanzey will be hosting several public informational meetings to discuss proposed road reconstruction projects. The meetings will take place at Whitcomb Hall (17 Main Street) and will provide an overview of the projects. The meetings are as follows:
- January 29th – 6:00 p.m. Pine Street
- January 29th – 6:30 p.m. East Shore Road
- February 12th – 6:00 p.m. Holbrook & Woodale Avenues
- February 19th – 6:00 p.m. South Winchester, West, and Swanzey Streets
The public is encouraged to attend these meetings, provide input and ask questions concerning these projects. Pine Street, East Shore Road, Holbrook & Woodale Avenues are expected to be reconstructed in 2020. South Winchester, West, and Swanzey Streets are expected to be constructed later in 2020 or 2021. These projects are funded as part of a $3 million road improvement bond approved by the voters at the 2019 Town Meeting. In addition, the South Winchester, West, and Swanzey Street projects have received partial funding by grants through the Northern Borders Regional Commission and the Monadnock Alliance for Sustainable Transportation (MAST).
Residents unable to attend the meetings who would like more information may contact Town Administrator Michael Branley with general questions or to provide feedback at 352-7411 ext. 107 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
