KEENE, NH – As 2022 came to a close, the Keene Family YMCA welcomed a new Director of Development & Community Impact to their leadership team.
Michael Blume joined the YMCA in November, making the move to the Monadnock region from the greater Boston area where he oversaw youth baseball and softball programming for the Red Sox Foundation.
In his previous role, Mick led efforts that changed the baseball and softball landscape in Boston by securing grants, sponsors and donations, resulting in greater access to the tools athletes need to participate.
As the Director of Development & Community Impact for the Keene Family YMCA his focus is to help sustain the Y’s programming and operations through fundraising, while ensuring that the Y is making and supporting meaningful impact in our community.
“I’m excited to join the amazing team at the Keene Family YMCA and even more excited to be a part of a wonderfully philanthropic community,” said Blume. “I have seen firsthand how important the Y is to its community and when I saw an opportunity to bring my skills to Keene, I couldn’t pass it up. I personally connect with the mission, vision, values and focus that drive our work and I believe the Y is a great resource for everyone.”
