Minute Taker

Posted: 10/27/2022

The City of Keene is seeking a part-time employee to join our team as a Minute Taker!  If you’re a self-motivated and reliable candidate with previous experience in an office setting or minute-taking experience and prefer part-time work, we need your skills and attention to detail!
This position will provide assistance to the City Clerk’s Department by providing minute-taking services to various public bodies, so excellent comprehension, writing and computer skills are required, along with Internet access and email capability!  This is a great opportunity for a qualified candidate to work in an interesting atmosphere and to learn more about City government and the community!
The minute taking schedule may vary between mornings, afternoons and evenings, but the majority of the meetings occur monthly and will start between 8-9AM, with one afternoon meeting also planned monthly.  This position will occasionally be asked to provide coverage for other meetings or assignments on the calendar when another minute taker is absent or on vacation.
Pay for this position begins at $19.96 per hour, but a highly qualified candidate could be offered a slightly higher starting pay rate!  This position also offers opportunities for pay increases.
Meetings typically average 1 to 3 hours in duration, and the minute taker will receive a minimum of 1 hour of pay per meeting, plus additional time for pre-meeting preparation and post-meeting production.  Minutes must be delivered within 2-5 days.

Please include a cover letter and resume with your application.  Applications will be accepted until an adequate number of qualified candidates have applied.
