We are now accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant in our Human Services Department! This position offers a schedule of 28 hours per week, with a competitive pay rate of $20.45- $25.49 per hour. As an Administrative Assistant in the Human Services Department, your duties will include providing receptionist, clerical, and general administrative support to the department. You will maintain in-depth knowledge of all department functions, procedures and staff. Specific receptionist duties include answering, screening and directing calls as appropriate; providing information both in person and over the phone; verifying appointments; and ensuring information presented by customers is complete and sufficient. Specific clerical duties include composing memos; posting information on bulletin boards; and corresponding and communicating with committees, agencies, programs and individuals.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, plus at least one year of experience in a business office, or equivalent training. The ideal candidate will be organized with excellent public service and communication skills. They must be able to work successfully with confidential information, as well as be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
