About this Event
We hear something every day, it seems, about “the opioid crisis” – nationally, in New Hampshire, and in the Monadnock Region. It’s a complex issue, with many organizations addressing parts of it – in different ways, and with different approaches. What do employers and employees need to know? What can we do?
- What is the nature and scope of the problem – nationally, in NH and in the Monadnock Region?
- What is being done to address the issue – by government, social service agencies and employers?
- What are some of the resources – financial & human – available in NH and the Monadnock Region?
- What can and should employers know and do?
Following remarks by the Superintendent, a panel of local experts and practitioners of economic development will offer their thoughts, moderated by Phil Wyzik, from Monadnock Family Services:
- Dave Mara – Governor’s Senior Policy Advisor for Substance Misuse
- Jane Skantze – Monadnock Voices for Prevention
- Jackie Mitchell – W.S. Badger Co.
- Dr. Chris Mills – Psychiatrist – Keene
- Amelie Gooding – Phoenix House – Keene
