Film Screening: Roll Red Roll
At MCVP we are excited to say that we were given the screening rights for the documentary, Roll Red Roll, which follows the now infamous sexual assault case out of Steubenville, OH in 2012. We will be hosting a free, public screening of the film on Thursday, April 11th at the Keene Public Library (6:30-9 pm). The screening will be followed by a panel discussion including local experts. The film goes behind the headlines to uncover the deep-seated and social media-fueled “boys will be boys” culture at the root of high school sexual assault in America. Filmmaker Nancy Schwartzman takes you piece-by-piece through the crime, investigation, trial and the aftermath, bringing to light the culture throughout this community that in essence protected the student athletes, while leaving everyone else vulnerable.
