With the unemployment rate in New Hampshire at 8.1% in July, and the rental vacancy rate in NH under 2%, the need for a local emergency shelter has never been more urgent. With the Coronavirus looming it is hard for many people to give back, to safely volunteer, to go to the many charity events that are usually held. Nonprofits have had to get creative in order to raise the funds they need to continue operating. Hundred Nights, Inc. has teamed up with Machina ArtBar to create “Fall into Brunch,” a new fundraiser to feed the soul. Held on Sunday, September 20, 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM, at Machina ArtBar in Keene, including a pick-up or delivery option. Brunch includes your choice of quiche or stuffed french toast, along with chocolate covered strawberries. There are more goodies with each ticket level. You can have your delicious brunch delivered (within 10 miles of downtown Keene), or pick it up, with the Epicurean or Bon Vivant tickets. You can also enjoy a live, socially distanced cooking demonstration along with your meal with the Epicurean ticket. Seating is limited for the Epicurean experience. Join us and help contribute to continuing services from Hundred Nights, Inc. Tickets are available here: http://hundrednightsbrunch.eventbrite.com/ The Mission of Hundred Nights, Inc. is to provide shelter and crisis-related services to the displaced or homeless. We served 716 unique individuals from January 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. The number of families with children sheltered by Hundred Nights Inc. increased by 280% since 2016, from 5 families and 7 children in 2016 to 14 families and 26 children in 2019. Hundred Nights, Inc. is providing services to an increasingly diverse population in Keene.
